First Potentially Habitable Earth-like Planet Discovered

April 26, 2007 · Leave a Comment

On this newly discovered planet outside our Solar System conditions such as oceans may be possible, and thus life. Astronomer’s say it is in a Goldilocks orbit – just right – for liquid water to exist, and thus the possibility of life as we know it. Jill Tartar, of the SETI Institute and a previous speaker at SciTech, says we may be at the start of a ‘cosmic real estate boom.’ What are your thoughts? Does  ’Star Wars’ actually portray more reality than fantasy?
