smog LAPittsburgh’s reclaiming of its “ Most Livable City” status brings with it a new title, “2nd Dirtiest Metropolitan Area.” Only Los Angeles is dirtier (photo)!  The publication looked at how dirty metropolitan areas were in short-term and annual airborne particle pollution.  Apparently, this is an Eastern U.S. trend linked to an increase in electricity generated by heavily polluting and coal-fired plants. The good news is this data represents 2003-2005, and the latest information for 2006 is looking better. What are your thoughts on the livability of the ‘Burg and the air that you breathe?
